Investments in Specialized Investment Funds (SIF) / SICAR

Investments in SIFs are limited to well-informed investors that are able to adequately assess the risks associated with the investment in such a vehicle.

A well-informed investor is an institutional investor, a professional investor or any investor who meets the following conditions:

  • he/she has confirmed in writing that he/she adheres to the status of well-informed investor and,
  • he/she has a minimum investment of € 125,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) and,
  • he/she is subject of an assessment certifying his/her expertise, experience and knowledge in adequately appraising an investment in the fund; made by:
    - a credit institution (within the meaning of Directive 2006/48/EC),
    - an investment firm (within the meaning of Directive 2004/39/EC) or 
    - a management company (within the meaning of Directive 2001/107/EC).
